Key features of our property management software:

HistoryIn 1996, The American Marketing Systems, Inc. decided to change its rental property management software to an internally developed, modern and flexible software system. Important lessons were taken from the existing system - the market-leader in the U.S. - to build a new, Windows-based integrated program with the stability, reliability and speed provided by SQL database servers. At the same time, the new program was designed to remain flexible and universal enough to support tasks that might only surface in the future. Nearly eight years later, this software has gone through an extensive day-to-day development and testing by being the production software of our company. Its creation was made possible by the constant advice of the veritable experts of this field: Zoya Lee Smithton, Robb Fleischer and Michael Kocina. We are now ready to share this experience with the resort and property management community. We are making our software available in a limited offering as a part of our business profile.Database stabilityThis property management software was designed from the outset for large numbers of simultaneous users. It suffers from no data corruption or "crashes". By being built on open database concepts, the user may easily interface the data with the internet - the software includes three internal journals for tracking web site visitors and requests. The software was also designed to be able to use the very fast, reliable and cost-free MySQL database server. This makes it possible to start with this property management software system without first spending a large amount of money on expensive SQL backends. Furthermore, no expensive user licences are needed when the database is run on free but rock-solid operating systems (such as Linux and FreeBSD). Distributed offices - working everywhereThe client software runs as well over the internet as in the local setting, letting the users work with the central database from remote offices, home computers or laptops even over dial-up connections. For example, you can make your reservation board available to your branch office or a remore partner in case you both use this software.System requirementsWhile the (client) software runs on the Windows platform, the database may be run on any platform with a generic SQL server with ODBC drivers. The hardware configuration of the server depends on the number of its users, and mainly pertains to system memory. For example, for 1..10 users, 256Mb would be sufficient, and 512Mb should be sufficient for up to 50 (connected) users.LanguageThis property management software is written in a natively compiled language (Borland Delphi) ideal for large system development. This makes it fast compared with interpreted systems, and provides a solid basis for future extensions.
